Web forums, they're ace. When combined with modern search capabilities they stop so many repeats of the same question.

Today I wanted to know something about the game Travian, so I pop along to the Travian Forums and hit the search button. I get the familiar search box and a pretty abstract painting. I enter into the box "Hero dying" because I've got a Hero there and wanted to know what happens when he snuffs it because I sent him, unarmed, into the teeth of hell to see what would happen.

If Antec made cars they'd be Mercedes...

...Silver, well made, intelligently designed.

Two years ago, fed up at cutting myself on the inside of badly made PC cases and wanting to approach cooling a little more cleverly I splashed out on an Antec P180 Advanced Super Mid Tower (There's another review here. )

New site

Because... Well, for no good reason, I've moved the blog onto my personal site. Livejournal is good but at peak times is slow to the point of unusability. Because my attention focus shifts so rapidly if I don't get what I want straight away I get distracted and forget to do it. I'm a magpie chasing glitter balls.

It's saturday, I've just finished building the kitchen. Taken five weeks of evenings and weekends and I'm very pleased how it's turned out. So's the wife which is the main thing...

The day's beautiful and I'm inside spodding. I don't understand myself sometimes.

Horse riding and worry.

Sunday, 5am. Puppy barking. Thankfully the wife is less determindly deaf than me and deals with it.

6am. Alarm goes, coffee, toast, pate. It's raining. Hard. Flood warnings are in place, the water's bouncing off the drive and
the forecast is for more of the same. 7.30 - drive the Hilux and Caravan off my lawn where it's been sitting for the weekend.
Toddle off to a car park on Haldon Forest, overlooking Exeter. Why? Because I'm involved with a horse charity that organises
a horse riding event a couple of times a year. It's that time again.

Puppy or force of nature?

My mother bred borzois when I was a boy, funny how time can hide the work and effort required...

We collected our Puppy last friday, a 300 mile round trip. She's a pedigree white German Shepherd 7 weeks old and quite ready to leave her mum (and her mum to be rid). We've named the puppy Ghost and we both took a week's holiday to look after her on her first week - and a quite tiring week it's been...

The other dogs accepted her really well to begin with, Ghost is very forward and confident and this has helped her a lot with fitting in.
